Recently received advice from the Australian National Library is this notice of a blog on the conservation of important bird pattern plates by John Gould & his wife.Of interest not just to Australians, ornithologists, twitchers, bibliophiles & librarians John Gould's supplements to his great work published as "Birds of Australia" published between 1840 & 1848 is a wonderful book just to look at once in your lifetime.
