I am so damn envious, and more than alittle jealous of your ability and talent.
You had me at Celtic. I love this!
Thank you.
Great idea and lovely craftmanship.
Thanks.
It's absolutely stunning!!!
Thanks
Very creative work! Is this a table you made for you, or did it sell to someone else?
Made it for my ex girlfriend and her kids. Used branches we collected from places we used to live at or went hiking to.
@BrianGibson36 what did you think of the epoxy? I think it changes color pretty fast. I hear there are newer, better ones though.
@Hathacat I used an amber shellac to seal the surface before i applied the epoxy to give it that tint of color. The wood was very pale to begin with. I think it has darkened a little over time but I was happy with the way it turned out. The product I used was called kleer kote. Only complaint I had was having to pop bubbles with a 700 degree heat gun until it started to set.
Impressive to say the least. Bravo!
Thanks
Beautiful and unique...lovely work and the table looks so well built as to survive generations! Nice job!
Are the swirls raised? I was curious as to how plates would sit upon them...I have no idea how woodworking is done...lol
The pattern was carved out, then filled with a 2 part epoxy that levels itself to a hard glass-like surface.
@BrianGibson36 that is what I thought...it is really durable and beautiful..
Stunning, very unique. I love the quirky, geometric effect of the segments in the middle. Very visually interesting!
Thanks
