Reminds me of something we did while teaching in Japan. We took the train into Kyoto and spent the day at the Yamamoto Roketsu Indigo Dyeing Studio, learning how to use a traditional Japanese batik technique to make a noren door curtain. I chose a dragon design, like the one on the right in the top picture in the link below. I still have that thing in the doorway to my office.

@BeeHappy I did pretty well with it.
Sad in that another bit of knowledge (like how did prehistoric stone masons get such a tight fit between stones weighing several tons) may be lost forever. Beautiful artwork.

I love th magic of indigo. When we have dye days i always try to get in on the iindigo dye poet. That and cochineal.
