I took a walk along the road I live on and took a few pictures of some flowers that were growing by the side of the road. Most of them are growing wild and some were planted. The Magnolias are growing on their trees. If you take one of the Magnolia blossoms right after they open and place them in a shallow bowl of water, they'll make your whole house smell like a flower.
The picture of the York River is where we take the kids to go swimming.

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
