I want to be there! Can you camp there?

Yes, I love being adapted to high altitude. I spent a week camping at 11,200 in Colorado hiking the 14ers nearby. Mt. Oxford, Mt. Belford and Missouri.

When I climbed Rainier back in '10 it helped a great deal that I had spent the previous two weeks above 10,000 ft. in Colorado.

I can see why it's called Desolation Lake! The scenery is spectacular, and as the prior visitor mentioned, the quiet must be beautiful. Great shots!
