Spent the last weekend visiting Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountain again. I wish I could spend more time to see the other caves and trails, but work keeps dragging me back.
I’ve been in a rut lately and this trip was an attempt to remind me of what I want in life.
The desert looks so empty, but there is a subtle struggle for life in a land that denies it. If that makes sense.
Also, this was the first time using my new Nikon D3400. It’s a 24 mega pixle camera, light weight but capable. The contols are weird but I’ll get the hang of it.
Looks awesome! I have done some spelunking at Carter caves in Kentucky. It has some interesting tours, however my favorite part are the cave systems you can get a day pass and explore all on your own. Spent a lot of time there as a kid and I still love it, recommend to anyone!
The Mammoth Cave complex is also a very good one to explore. They normally have a knockout Christmas party there!
@AstralSmoke Thanks, I will have to check it out.
I love caves. Enjoy getting to know your new camera!

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
