I have returned from Davis Mountains. While I was there I watched “Dodge City” an excellent western from 1939, I read “Education of a Wandering Man,” I climbed a 5,700 foot peak, toured historic Fort Davis and attempted to catch the Marfa Lights.
My favorite part was witnessing the night sky in true darkness. It helps to remind me our place in the universe. Sure it brings up nihilistic feelings but that reminds me to cherish my existence and make the most of it.
With that in mind, I’ve decided I will work on becoming Park Ranger sooner than later.
It was a great trip and I plan to visit again.
