Wow Lotta interesting and ambitious stuff here. I'm a dog-walker (so rarely more than 2-3 miles at a time) and a city-street cyclist (15-20 miles). And yet, it's moving that counts, right?
I'm curious what it's like to bike in Chicago. All flat or hills? Mostly bike lanes or paths or share the road with cars?
It's totally flat. The only "hill" I go over is the bridge over the freeway. It's mostly city streets; where I live is a minimum 4 miles to the nearest path. I use secondary streets, many of which have lots of stop signs. Cars that use them generally aren't trying to go fast.
Doesn't matter how far you go, as long as you are enjoying the experience!

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
