My phone just reminded me of a hike my daughter and I took a couple years ago to the St. Mary’s Fire lookout in the Bitterroot National Forest, near Missoula,MT.

I have a friend who works as a lookout at tower south of the one in the photo.
He loves it!
Lots of time to read and play guitar.
When he got the job several years ago, he wrote in his journal - for the first time in my life, I’m overpaid.

Lightning storms are a bit frightening there.
