Today Karen and I hiked to the summit of Mission Ridge Ski Area, Wenatchee. WA. We went up steep ski runs, gaining 2,255' in elevation over 8.3 miles total. A great leg-builder. My legs are shot. The summit is at 6,755' elevation. Gorgeous views ...

My Hello Kitty day pack died. Straps can't be repaired anymore its literally falling apart. I went fishing Saturday and loaded it down with River rocks to place around plants. Straps broke with the weight. The bottom stitching is also about to give ...

Saw this little sweetie above Mink Lake in Olympic National Park . So cute, at first she stood up to get a better look at us and later hid behind a bush peeking out to make sure we were leaving.

I hiked the Cascade Falls near Blacksburg, VA last yr. I believe it was 4mi. It was so beautiful and peaceful.

Hiked 4 miles on part of the Carolina Thread Trail yesterday. Plan to do 6 miles on the Rail Trail this afternoon. Getting my leg muscles in shape for a knee replacement on Nov 15. I'm lucky to live close to several trails.
