Happy to have found this group. I have identified as a libertarian for a few years now and am also a Libertarian Party member. I have been atheist for far longer than I have been libertarian.

Hey! Other Libertarians!

I have been a libertarian as long as I have been an atheist. I just never had the words until I got older. I did not discover that taxation was theft until my first paycheck. I didn't realize the minimum wage was "zero" until my first real job after Walmart. I was NPA and did not register as a Libertarian until Nicholas Sarwark spoke after the 2016 election results. "Your tears are delicious and your parties will die."

Atheism and Libertarianism require the same kind of mindset -- questioning dogma and its fundamental assumptions, non-obedience to a central authority figure, and living out one's life according to one's beliefs as long as it does not infringe others' beliefs and lives. We do not simply replace a supernatural god with a natural government.
