The guy that I got to know on the bus in the early 90's was from Central America, We would get off and go through some back roads to the path that went up to the tracks and would rest after climbing the hill where the tracks lay atop. This became a part of the commute to and fro work, as the shop where we worked was on the other side of the tracks hill. After work we would have a six-pack and shoot the poop. Here he told me his whole family was shot and killed. Will was the newest guy on the crew, short in stature and he was working efficiently at each job we were on. He impressed me with his diligence and willingness to work in this manner. He was probably a border crosser, but this didn't bother me so much at the time because of his servant like personality. He was the first guy to go when the season slowed down. I still remember our talks commuting to work. Haven't seen him since
