Yesterday I was watching Ted Talks about creativity. What is your sense of "muse"? Do you work after vague divinity's thought? Do you work worrying the refined but sadistic Muse?

i would worship (figuratively) Vesta, the Muses, Liber; the Greek Apollo; the Norse Loki too.

Never found any need for such things.

I've always liked the greek, hindu, egyptian, and lately norse pantheons too. Apollo, Loki, Shiva Ganesh, Vishnu, Horus.

There is something about tapping into ritual and ancient iconography that does help induce a flow state I think. Next to being in nature or in love, learning about ancient cultures is probably the next best source of inspiration. I don't think the muses or ancient gods literally exist of course, but they can be used as concepts to help us help ourselves, which is really why they were powerful archetypes in the first place.
