I was raised Catholic. We went to mass every Sunday and I was sent to catechism every Saturday morning. I remember one sermon when we were at mass in particular. It was about the evils of rock and roll music. At first I bought into what the priest had said but then one day I heard "Green Onions" playing on the radio. I loved it and I could not figure out how it could be evil.
Another thing that we were taught at catechism was that sex was evil. They used the term "Ways of the flesh." and told us that was the work of the devil.
Full BioAt that point in my life I thought that I should become a priest. In my freshman year of school I went to a boarding school geared toward preparing students for the seminary. It was very regimented, we went to mass every day, prayed several times a day and were under strict supervision at all times. Over time I became aware of the hypocrisy in the church. I completed my freshman year and started my sophomore year when I just had enough... I no longer wanted to be a priest and I wanted to be around girls so I left and started going to a public school.
I also stopped going to church. Over time I stopped believing in God and creationism. Evolution made a lot more sense to me and I was always interested in science so I started taking scientific courses.
I took that Myers Briggs personality test, the results were INFP. I do not know if there is any validity to this test. I need to check it out.
