81 yrs old; externally 81, internally25-37; sense of humor; politics abt as far left as i can go; artist ( have sold oil paintings all across the US; 22 yrs to a career Marine then got a (re to Career Air Force career woman), we get a fine and see each other at several times during the year; 2 girls, the oldest adopted, has bipolar disorder; the youngest is natural and does allthe interior pAinting for Cheesecake Factory, and lives an hour from me. The oldest lives in San Antonio and i don’t see her or communicate with her. Lived in Iowa/Ill for 3 yrs while George was on Recruiting Duty, went to Hawaii before it was a state, spent 17 yrs alone before I met my second husband and spent 19 years before he died of cancer.
I am into genealogy and have traced my line back to before the American Revolution (the 1600s, where one of my relatives was hanged for a witch— Hannah Easty). I am related to a Peter Day who lived in Weehawken, NJ, moved to New York, and then went to New Brunswick; his kids petitioned the crown for land in the west (Ontario) and settled the Owen Sound area where I have lots of relatives. I am also a first generation American since my dad was born in Owen Sound, Ontario. On my Mom’s side I am related to Kit Carson through his sister (I have a picture on my wall of my mom’s Grandma who remembers sitting on Kit’s lap when he made a trip East and the old time actor Lon Chaney, and I have a cousin named Chaney who a Younger (part of the James /Younger Gang. So I can join the UEL and the DAR. My daughter Terri is listed in the Tufts through her dad and is related to the folks who started Tufts University. However, I am just a simple soul who loves to read, spends most days alone, and don’t drive due to my VA Drs informing me not to drive. I had a stroke abt 12 years ago, and burned my hand abt 8 months past ,.. drat! My right hand doncha know? I am interested in all things that interest me.
