Anyway, the ancestors of modern Northeast Asians (Northern Chinese, Koreans, Mongols, Japanese etc.) were Siberians who trekked across the Siberian wastes hunting elk, mammoth and other large game. Incidentally, a branch of this group trekked across the Siberian Strait and populated the Americas. These hunter bands were very small, usually less than 50 people. So within such a small group, under such extreme environmental conditions, evolution happens very quickly and very dramatically. This is how the "squinty eyes" evolved. Those with large, round eyes fell to snow blindness and didn't live to have kids. It was as simple as that. Even today, Eskimos use devices like this to protect their eyes from the snow glare:

1. Yes, a tremendous amount of it. 2. In most countries. 3. Economic progress, Capitalism, and Democracy. There was no reason to prey on your neighbor and take his wealth. It could be created much more easily by producing products your neighbor wanted to buy.

BD66 comments on Apr 2, 2019:
Trump has identified one of the major downsides to wind power for electricity. Electricity is at peak demand in July and August when it's 100 degrees with not any breeze to cool you off. Everyone is running their air conditioners full blast. Good luck powering all of that with windmills. Windmills are at best a supplement to more reliable forms of energy like coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear fissile materials. Solar actually makes more sense than wind from that perspective because when it's 100 degrees, the sun is most likely shining brightly.

People have been predicting this for 7 decades, but it still has not come to pass. The people who do lose their jobs to automation should be given government subsidized job training so they can rejoin the workforce performing a job that has not been automated.

I was always into basketball, but I have a very large son, 12 years old, 5'8"and 180 pounds. I started lifting with him while he was training for the shot put and discus. I got the the point where I could do 8 reps of 200 pounds on the bench press. I don't want to push it on the squat and deadlift because I don't want to risk any joint problems. I found out that (at age 52) I sleep a lot better if I take 2 days for a complete upper body workout, 2 days for a complete lower body workout, then repeat the process again.
