He's not wrong about Japan. I think it is currently ranked 5th and South Korea 6th. Turkey could have the potential to be a player - location and military size. I believe they are all the way down at 20 though, and with Erdogan's mistrust will stay there. Of course, the ratings I was looking at gave Saudi Arabia a slightly higher ranking than Israel. I've no faith in the Saudi military. France tried to be a relevant military power in the 70's and 80's with a lot of smaller scale African incursions. They then rejoined NATO and haven't been nearly as active.

I was talking about different levels of hell and how different religions have their own versions and levels as well. I mentioned the 7 levels in Islam (from their literary works) and said the lowest level was for hypocrites - those who claimed to be Muslim but didn't act correctly. One student, sitting in the back, his mom was catholic and his dad Muslim, said, "That's where my dad's going." Everyone was silent for a moment, then I moved on.

When I was there, he had a guy we knew come in and say he thought his alternator was going bad. Since it was an old Metro, the alternator was an easy pop off, so my bro told me to look it over. I've always done this. Some things have planned obsolescence. I had a washing machine break after 12 to 15 years of family use. I tore it apart and the motor wasn't working. The motor casing said not to open as oil would leak. Nothing to lose, I opened it up and saw a broken plastic cog. I went to a shop that sold parts. The guy said that those cogs always broke about when mine did and people just bought a new machine. I replaced it and the machine was still working 10 years later when i left. Imagine having a steel cog in that spot.
