A great place to explore. If I total all the times I've been here, it comes to about a year and a half. And I never get tired of it. So much to see. So much art. So many natural wonders. I highly recommend the area in and around Stresa, on Lago Maggiore, northwest Italy. Other places I like in Italy are Venice, Cinque Terre, Pisa (with the leaning tower, etc.), and Pompei. Rome is a great place, but be sure to go at a time that is not tourist season. It gets crowded.

Joseph Smith, the founder of the Moron (oops, Mormon) Church, also reversed the miracle. @Beamdump2020 lol. That reminds me of a joke: A man was painting a church, but about halfway through he discovered that he didn't have enough paint to finish the job. He asked the pastor for more paint. The pastor refused. So the painter thinned the paint and continued his job. After a while, he thinned it a little more. He continued thinning until he finally reached the bottom, where the new, very thinned paint was hardly visible. He stepped back to look at it from a distance, but it still looked bad. Then a voice came out of the heavens: "Repaint, repaint, and thin no more!"
Somebody knew what they were doing.

@Robecology Here is a letter I am about to send to the Nashville Service Center. Please let me know if you have suggestions for improving it: Hello. My name is Kyle Williams, and I live in Woodbury, Tennessee. I am driving a Prius-C hybrid, which gets better mileage than a regular gas-engine car, but I am still sickened every time I have to fill up with gasoline. I would like to go full electric, and I understand that Tesla makes the best electric cars. I am going out of the country soon, and I will be gone until mid-June. However, I would like to ponder your answers to some questions I have: 1. Which model gets the most miles per charge, and how much does it cost? 2. What is the least costly model, and how many miles does it get per charge? 3. Would I be able to get a reduction in price by trading in my 2013 Prius-C? 4. Are there government subsidies to help me with the purchase of a Tesla? 5. Can I plug it into a regular household outlet for charging? 6. Anything else I should know? I look forward to your response, and to visiting your service center in mid-June. In the meantime, we can correspond by email while I am absent from the USA. The email address is below my signature: Thank you! Kyle Williams kyle.d.williams.1959@gmail.com
I'm going to Europe soon, and won't be back until mid-June.

You figured right; there IS a Service Center in Nashville (Tesla hates to call them "dealers" - they give no commission for selling a Tesla....if you live more than 50 miles from Nashville, you can order your car on line and get it delivered to your front door. @Robecology Will do. Thanks. Right now I'm emailing the Service Center, letting them know what I would like in June.

Which group of people would be more likely to help those in need... theists, agnostics or atheists?
BestWithoutGods comments on Mar 3, 2019:
Theists would readily help people of their own religion. They are less likely to help people who disagree with them. Agnostics ... see atheists. Atheists are thinking people and are more likely to have a good understanding of ethics than religious people. Therefore, I believe atheists would be...
BestWithoutGods replies on Mar 3, 2019:
@PalacinkyPDX Sure, there are good atheists and bad atheists, just as there are good theists and bad theists. But, speaking from personal experience, I never gave ethics a second thought when I was a theist. I was taught to listen to what the church leaders told me, and obey them. Only when I left theism did I think to base my actions on the science of ethics. I am a much more compassionate man as an atheist than I ever was as a theist.

@KevinAverett I KNOW. The problem is that the members of the Moron Church believe all his bullshit.

I am happier now than ever. The best thing the Moron church ever did for me was to excommunicate me! :)
BestWithoutGods replies on Feb 25, 2019:
@LenHazell53 I was excommunicated for apostasy. I studied Joe Smith too closely, and I determined that he was a false prophet, with no divine gift for foretelling the future. He made predictions in the name of the LORD that were never fulfilled, and the time for fulfilment had passed.

BestWithoutGods comments on Feb 25, 2019:
This is, of course* The Onion*, and it must not be taken seriously. It is not the atheist's duty to **attack** religion in ways which would be considered rude. We may speak out against it, but we must be civil about it. Rudeness will cause the religious to believe that we are in the wrong, and that,...
BestWithoutGods replies on Feb 25, 2019:
@OwlInASack I agree. But I do not think it wise to disrupt a religious service in order to tear down their beliefs. There is a right and wrong way of speaking plainly, directly, and fearlessly.

Is a religious upbringing detrimental to the mental health of children?
BestWithoutGods comments on Feb 16, 2019:
I was mentally damaged by being raised in the Moron (oops, Mormon) religion. I have, happily, received counselling after leaving the Morons, and am now rather sound of mind.
BestWithoutGods replies on Feb 16, 2019:
@ElusiveMoby They had me believing I was headed straight for Hell. Psychologists know that masturbation is natural, normal and healthy. The Morons, however, make it a sin, even for unmarried youth. Their suppression of a natural, normal and healthy activity caused me such anguish that it nearly drove me crazy. I'm so glad that I'm enlightened now! :)
