I visit here daily, and find people amazed that they can hate (Trump) so intensely! Some of the time I can lean back on my understanding of his disease, and say, this is what we can expect from a bastard with no bottom, and can get a brief reprieve from the rage inside. Then, I think of the millions of fools who thought he was the new coming of a savior, and those many who still do. I've got some neighbors, and relatives like that. Generally I'm an optimistic guy, but have a spot of cynicism as well. I doubt that we will be able to reach the fools who believe in the Qanon garbage, and the like, and those who have shown how deeply bigotry runs in the country. But, now we, if you will "know" the enemy. With some luck we will be rid of Trump and his enablers, before th next pandemic comes. Biden seems to be growing in his awareness of the need for massive change, will re-join the WHO, and fix up the CDC, and more, will re-instate the pandemic protections he and Obama set up. And give you, and the front-line medical people the credit you so richly deserve. Hopefully he will nudge the culture towards a reasoned, and humane place; will work to restore the place of science as a source of America's better self. First we have to defeat Trump, and his senatorial fellow slime-balls, starting with Moscow Mitch McTurtle, in Kentucky.
