Need help reconciling my sons suicide and my ex wife's beliefs.
Budgie comments on Apr 29, 2020:
I am sorry for your loss. As she is your ex I would suggest when you are around your children lots of positive experiences, make sure they know you love them, answer their questions honestly but with tact as I don't know their ages a lot depends on that. If they comment on their mother a statement such as "She believes in a god and is dealing with this her way." It really depends on what she is telling them. While your grief is horrible at times you are going to have to think more about them and their needs than yours. I dealt with the death of a student in a class of 5/6 year olds (traffic accident) a lot of them were very matter of fact about it, sad yes but they did not fully understand I think. Her parents were deeply religous and we discussed what they believed (that she had gone to heaven). This is a complex issue so you may want to think about getting some professional help if your children are school aged maybe they have someone on staff they can talk to. I know that I had someone on call if I needed it or felt that a child needed it. You are walking a difficult path at present and the only rule I can think is treat everyone with respect and dignity, even if they don't treat you with it.
How would you feel if someone gave you unsolicited advice about your appearance?
Budgie comments on Apr 29, 2020:
I would look him up and down real slow and say "Your opinion does not matter to me so please be on your way. When I want your opinion I will give it to you."
Oh how I love spring, and roses.
Budgie comments on Apr 28, 2020:
I love the colours in the rose it seems to illuminate it from the inside.

Budgie comments on Apr 27, 2020:
As a child I was worried about there being a wolf under my bed that was waiting for me to go to sleep so it could eat me. (Very specific I know but they took me to the damn museum that had a pic of a child in bed with a wolf beside her) So after all of the shining a light under the bed and watching me leap into my bed from the doorway at night (during the day the wolf was not there) Dad took the legs off my bed and problem solved.

I'm confused.
Budgie comments on Apr 26, 2020:
Legislation on how it can be used and by whom. I am still in the "over my rotting copse" camp on this one. I don't have a phone that would accept it and I hardly ever have my phone on me. It is a great alarm clock so it lives beside my bed. If I have it on me it is turned off unless I need to use it or I know someone is going to try and contact me. My friends all know this and accept it.
The stupidity of religion.
Budgie comments on Apr 25, 2020:

Yeah he went there.
Budgie comments on Apr 25, 2020:
I love Randy Rainbow but this latest from the moron in chief just beggars belief. That he would throw out a suggestion in a press conference (that is what think tank sessions are for) I have seen other medical professional trying so hard to not laugh as they comment on this. It is serious as we all know the braindead drumpferteers will try it.

Who would do such a thing?
Budgie comments on Apr 24, 2020:
We used to get a tin of these from my Dad's work every year. As kids we polished them off real quick and Mum never stopped us I suspect she just wanted the tin real quick.
Y'all look at this beauty! 1st photo is from yesterday.

These were taken last August.

They are all beautiful photos. I love reflections in water and the waterlily one is stunning. Sorry to hear that at this time there was a horrible event in your area.
Today's walk: pretty flowers with 'bonsai-like' stems!
Budgie comments on Apr 21, 2020:
Damn it I have at least 7 small ones outside in pots waiting to be planted. Give me a sec I will remember the name of the damn things. DESERT ROSE !!!!!!!! Finally trust me it was painful trying to remember what it was called. They can grow huge.
Lmao stupid
Budgie comments on Apr 21, 2020:
That would imply it has a brain to begin with and I seriously doubt that. Enough neurons are firing to breath and move but I think that is about it.
Just a thought on Pell.
Budgie comments on Apr 20, 2020:
I would suggest that he should have been made to stay in Victoria as then it would be easier for the cops when they get another case against him to grab him up. It is disgusting that he has been freed. He should not have been allowed to travel and I hope he catches the disease.
I would love to see how they make this app compulsory, and what would they do with me?
Budgie comments on Apr 20, 2020:
Given I would never have it on me (I have a minor phone that lives beside my bed it is a great alarm clock) or it would be turned off, in the bottom of a bag etc. I use it when I am travelling to ring for taxis etc not as a means to keep in touch with friends and family so it would be pretty ineffective oh and I would forget to recharge it (have to do that with the little one it has expired)
This was one of my favorite Dawkins Debates.
Budgie comments on Apr 20, 2020:
Sorry I loved the bit by Richard and but the moment the paedophile started speaking it made me feel ill. That he can be as morally corrupt at he is and sit there spouting rubbish about how xtianity saved people and then to say they are new testament people (I am pretty sure the ones around in the Roman times he spoke of would have been old testament and isn't all of it the word of god?) I could not listen to him.

I have no doubt that the child saw angels and jesus, he had been indoctrinated and people were probably praying at his bedside. Enough of his brain was firing to project images to him nothing more than that. I am sorry his life has been destroyed by his cult worshipping family, and greedy, neglectful father. You use a phone while driving you are neglectful.

Budgie comments on Apr 14, 2020:
Basically religious, smoker and drumpf supporter. Depends on how heavy the drinking is and why the marijuana usage (I actually had a partner for whom imbibing in marijuana was preferable to drinking when we went out partying) Age differences can get a bit difficult but mainly because of where you are at different points in your life. I am also a vegetarian so if they are a meat eater it can get tricky.

This is so sad, the brainwashing the trivialising of their mythos, down to toys in an egg, since the idea of the egg was stolen from the pagans celebration spring. The whole thing is sickening.
Why the broad disparity in death rates from COVID-19?
Budgie comments on Apr 11, 2020:
This may be a better place to get data https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html you can see where in the cycle the people are, maybe the deaths relate to how many people were infected at once and the health care systems ability to deal with the crisis. The people who got infected old vs young how accurately is the country reporting the results, how many people are they testing? I believe in Sweden if you do not need hospital care then you are not tested you are told to stay at home isolate and treat yourself as needed. So they may only be testing the ones that come to hospital ie the one having problems and in the higher risk bracket. The number crunching can only come when this is over and final figures are in and then to compare it to all different factors. It is a complex problem that a simple table is not able to display.
Does anyone know who this band is?

Happy Tuesday to my wonderfully supportive group! I hope it finds you doing well.
Budgie comments on Apr 10, 2020:
Douglas Adams a writer said that he loved deadlines he loves the whooshing noise they make as the go past. I struggle I try to plan and be ahead of the game but until the deadline is looming over me I just can not get motivated. The number of times I wrote an assignment until 4am because I did not get enough written before and it is due in now are too many to count. I have tried lists, calendar notes, making myself do it (I can never think of anything to write and then sit there for an hour) then bang 5 hours of solid work and it is sort of finished, (never edited) My stuff always gets in on time (mainly because I have now trained myself to believe the due date is a week before it is due)
Happy Friday! How would you describe your sense of smell?
Budgie comments on Apr 10, 2020:
I used to have a decent sense of smell now I am lucky/unlucky to smell anything. Generally unlucky in that the smells that get through are bad ones. To smell a flower I have to shove my whole face into it. A mix of almost constant hayfever and a few blows to the nose over my lifetime (accidents not fights) Also affects my sense of taste as the two are linked which is a pain.

Played both this one and the UB40 one at the same time (small time lag) and these two sound the same. The timing throughout the song stays the same between the two versions. Right up to about the 3 min mark when the official verson of UB40 stops and this one continues. I started a search for a live version and found this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tM7eaX5U8dw But is that Bob Marley?
