Very good point about therapy--someone doesn't need to die to make you depressed. It's a chemical imbalance. But being depressed colors everything you think about, so of course death would be more depressing. Work is more depressing, thinking about the future is more depressing, & there is no hope for any of it as long as the chemical imbalance persists.

A few months into the twin pregnancy it popped inside out & looked like the tied off end of a balloon, but missing the knot & all. My belly was so huge that I couldn't stand to drive because the steering wheel rubbed right against that sensitive nub. Then it stretched entirely flat & the only way to know where it used to be was a somewhat darker area of skin...yikes!! The best I can describe it now is a very shallow outie with a little hood. Really weird looking. Nothing to pierce even if I wanted to!

@JustLynnie Thanks--he was indeed. He was a purebred San Clemente Island Goat. I just never quite convinced him I was the boss...He had over 20 kids before he died. One boy just went to Nevada to help found the first herd in that state. Previously sold another of his sons to start the first herd in Washington State.

@SKH78 The Dutch word for breed, as in breeding animals, is fokk. It is totally without connotation--the last name Fokker is pretty common; I suppose their ancestors raised livestock of some sort. A funny story someone told me--a Dutch woman talking to an American told them she fokked dogs. I can only imagine the expression on their face! Dutch is a germanic language so I assume the words have a common origin.
