I think you're pretty close to right. I've noticed that the older I've gotten, the less patience I have for putting up with crap from men. Maybe because I now know how it will end, or maybe because I just don't have any years left to waste not being happy.

I like things involving plants or animals. One hobby kind of fell by the wayside & I want to get back to it--you can volunteer to transcribe historical documents, books, & all sorts of things online. The Smithsonian has a huge program but few of the documents are older than the 1850s or so. Other places have older papers from England to transcribe on line. Each document is like a puzzle to solve. Amazing to read something that may not have been read in a hundred years or more.
