I had recently come across some trivia about time. Can someone set this straight?

For a long time others thought the sky was a dome , over the earth , that was the flat earthers . Different cultures studied the night skies and came up with different concepts . And many connected calendars to the changes to the night skies . Priests studying the night skies , would forecast when to plant the fields . I've read that the pyramids were built on their sites facing in a certain direction , due to sky calculations . The Mayans created calendars and carved predictions in stone for an enormously long period of their future . Then , of course , there's Stonehenge and other similar sites around England , Scotland , Wales , and Ireland .

This could be very important to science and history. A great Wikipedia initiative.

@bingst She was gone for about 48 hours . She doesn't like people in general . I was concerned that she might have been killed . I should have set it out earlier . HIndsight , I think she went went off on a walkabout , we had the heavy rain , and the scents were washed away . It was about 12 hours after I set the used litter and some empty cat food cans out . I'm guessing she wasn't close by and it may have taken time for the scent to spread far enough .

@Fibonacci1618 Took multiple tries before I could even find a surgeon who was willing to try to fix it . I have regained some of my voice , although I can't sing , at least people can hear me on the phone , and the constant pain I was dealing with due the orginal surgery , has greatly decreased .

I don't believe in God . That said : Actually , if you accept eyewitness accounts , there are recorded instances where God was seen . In the book of Moses , it says that God appeared to Moses on several occasions , once along with other members of the tribe as well . If I remember correctly , he once appeared as a burning bush . On another occasion God allowed him to see Himself as He walked past and Moses saw his nether regions . We all know how screwed up the Bible is , and we also know the earliest bits (pre Christ) were recorded by the Jewish people , so the Torah , may have a better version . @bingst Thank you . Hope it works . It's been nearly 48 hours since my little girl (kitten) , went missing . Awhile back , I read that if you set their litter box outside , they can smell it up to a mile away .Yesterday , since I needed the litter box inside for her brother , I scooped the clumps into a small plastic trash can and set it on the side porch . Big brother went out after dark , but came back alone . About 4:30 AM there was another scratch at the door . One very bedraggled wet kitten was home . I wrapped her in a towel and rubbed her dry , and kept her purring in my lap for a bit , then took her in and set her in front of her food and water dishes . She stepped out of the towel , so I left her to eat .

I agree 100% . Great sex requires mutual respect . He may feel good about cutting you down to his size , but you will never , ever , enjoy sex with him . Dumping him is just step one . It's going to take a bit of reevaluating your self to remove all the damage he's done to your self image . In a divorce situation , you can still be required to pay child support , even if DNA evidence proves it isn't yours , unless they've changed the laws .

I don't recall any mention of religion at all , in any of this . Oh , I see . The cashier , a black woman wearing the scarves . Only mentioned her , in that I wasn't against either her religion , or her race . We are on friendly terms . I couldn't see any reason for the woman customer being angry at me , in the first place . She was behind me , so , to be honest , aside from the fact that she had pulled up to block me from the credit card machine , I wouldn't have known she was there . She can't check out , until I've paid for my groceries , so I let her know I needed to back up to the swipe machine . I wasn't being rude or angry , just letting her know I was backing up . Her angur was uncalled for . If anything she was being racist . She became angry and combative for absolutely no sensible reason . Was it because I was white , because I was disabled , or simply because I wa in front of her .
