Welcome to the club . Doctors recommend three surgeries , but since they can't tell which will fix the problem , they recommend starting with the easiest and go from there . Their first suggestion was the adenoids . My Mom had my tonsils and adenoids removed before I turned six . So that wasn't it , for me . As an adult , I snored so loudly , I would wake myself . They removed my soft palette , you know , that dangley bit that hangs down in the back of your throat . Don't snore loudly now . Their third option was , I have a dieviated syptem . Haven't had that done . In my opinion , there's another possible cause they neglect to mention . I think a severe emotional trama can also cause sleep problems and this can last for decades . Let's say , for instance , the sudden loss of a loved one . Surgery won't fix that one .
