HI guys! Im new to this site and I wonder how many of you guys are leftists or socialist?
DZhukovin comments on Apr 18, 2018:
@Shanabanana This is not a left-wing group to any extent. If we have left-wing members, it's because I am platforming beliefs I don't necessarily hold, because I support the free exchange of ideas. My experience with left-wing ideas is that up until 2008-2009, which was my junior year of high ...
DZhukovin replies on Apr 23, 2018:
@Shanabanana It is very possible that I don't, but know this, in recall of your statement: This group was put here by me. I am not left-leaning to any extent other than I notice some overlap between the thinking of the left and the right. If left-wingers are here, or anyone of any faction, it's because it's foolish to think of politics without thinking of individual minds.

What makes a person think that abstractions are not real?
Novelty comments on Apr 22, 2018:
I don't know. Like the term "i" in algebra for imaginary numbers. It solves a host of computational problems. So it's a very concrete type of abstraction that's quite useful. Sadly some people decide that anything they imagine has value. It doesn't.

I'd say that atheism isn't a belief, it's a theory based on the best available evidence. And isn't that more powerful?
DZhukovin replies on Apr 22, 2018:
@JeffMoffat The thing about theories is that they can get washed up in the politics of science, and this reduces appreciation for the real matter of the theory.
What makes a person think that abstractions are not real?
Tomfoolery33 comments on Apr 22, 2018:
Because something exists as a thought doesn't mean it exists out in the world. I can think all kinds of things that may or may not be true.
DZhukovin replies on Apr 22, 2018:
@tnorman1236 1. If that is true, then thoughts cannot be real. We already have thoughts as part of the universe we are considering, so this is not true. 2. Yes, that is true, but could it be that the mind does not actually hold false beliefs, and instead is just trying to be proactive? Think about the case where someone has a false belief that is irrespective of a fully defined setting, where a world engine and point in time are not established. Is it possible that the person's mind is trying to do something that the person may not consciously understand?

DZhukovin replies on Apr 22, 2018:
Who proved the statement that a negative cannot be proven? It takes just a few moments to show why this is wrong, without even getting into the mathematics fully. So we let there be some collection of infinite spaces, some statements a_2, some premises a_1, and in the universe spanning those spaces, there exists a collection of some objects A: A = {a_1, a_2,...}, where a_(i>2) = ~(a_(i<2)), which should represent all possible elements in those spaces. Theorem B: "You can't really prove a negative"/"You cannot prove a negative" Proof: By the rule of tautology A or ~A is always true. Therefore ~A. Therefore, theorem B is false. Theorem C: "You can prove a negative" Proof: By the rule of tautology A or ~A is always true. Therefore ~A, again. Therefore theorem C is true.

Basically, the Depression happened due to particular reasons. Economic conditions have to do with the health of business organization network. Sometimes people who are in positions of power over an economic unit, be it a bed of wealth, a business, etc. will make decisions that detract from the real implications of their role, and this causes economic problems. These problems can be made worse when people in those positions suppose conditions that don't actually exist. This is called "planning in the dark".

Girlfriend 1 : How did your date go last night?
DZhukovin comments on Apr 15, 2018:
Oh lord, he's in for a big one... I legitimately and consciously avoid dating certain women, because I don't want my kids to go through the pain of carrying an illness due to a lack of genetic hybrid vigor.
DZhukovin replies on Apr 15, 2018:
@Fanburger You're blocked.
Would you like to live simply?
DZhukovin comments on Apr 14, 2018:
@BeeHappy No, this is not the life I want to live, because to live simply makes a person soft in the head. Growing as a person is a big part of writing a good story for one's life, so wanting to do hedonism is an undeveloped stage to live in.
DZhukovin replies on Apr 14, 2018:
@BeeHappy I respect your premise in saying that, but I maintain my own premise.
ETA: Thanks, everyone. ?

I've got some ideas but you really should see a professional: a good chiropractor, a physical therapist or an orthopedist.

What is your Biotype? (link in description)
ThereIsADog comments on Apr 13, 2018:
I got the same as Celeritas. I thought for sure I would be gonad dominant from the description of that type but the mental characteristics of Thyroid dominant fit me even though I was identified late as intellectually gifted(high school) due to anxiety. Not sure how valid the research behind this is...
DZhukovin replies on Apr 13, 2018:
Intellectual gifts are as transient and sensitive as plants. Too much enrichment, and they die. Too little enrichment, and they die, so to speak. Maintain and improve on your extra mental abilities and learnings.

@Bostonian Why are you eliminating something as healthy as dairy?
DZhukovin replies on Apr 12, 2018:
@Bostonian I see. But dairy is there to help you take a massive dump, because that dump is actually full of waste and toxins. You're not helping yourself if you're quitting dairy because you want to hold turds inside your body.

Look at the "thymus" type. Apparently, having an overactive thymus can lead to leukemia, according to this 2004 heuristic. I hope everyone knew this already.

My opinion would be that Agnosticism is not based any logical proofs, but is simply a philsophical view for no belief in gods from the position of seeing gods as unknowable. Thus it can not be proven "right', since being right is not what Agnosticism is about anyway. Same for Atheism really ...

@Silverwhisper 1. No, it doesn't. Now, what about the actual points being made in the tract? 2. No, really. 3. No, it's relevant, because it's a detail, stop it. 4. If mathematics does not exist in nature, then how did natural objects create it? 5. Wikipedia is a practical joke, stop it.

Yes, I believe it, because otherwise there would be no explanation for the existence of free decision making.
DZhukovin replies on Apr 9, 2018:
@Celeritas Okay, so you ask "why I am certain of the existence of free decision making." I am certain of it, because I could not objectively determine any properties of it, be it true, inconclusive, or false, without clear consciousness. So we let there be some method of perception, and some free decision making. The rule is we cannot deduce an "is" from an "ought", so assuming the modus of objective observation, then ergo we have free decision making, and therefore we have free will. Do you see the value of honesty, now?

There is a cool backstory to this one. I started off with some random simple geometric shapes, then kept interpolating with different filters in my pixel editor. The result? A resembling map of Northwestern Europe. I was astonished at the closeless of some of the lines, and I really do wonder how my mind comes up with things sometimes.
