I say.. many people ignore me. Nothing new there. In what special way are they ignoring me? Should I be concerned? Is it a trend? lol I see my definition as being less purposefully provocative and more an annoying character trait of some people. Your definition could fit too. However I'm a little suspect of the legitimacy of the source by their odd (clumsy)choice of adjective word ordering.They wrote "mental little" when describing the noun"boxes". Generally size comes first in a list of qualifiers.."big, fluffy pillow", "Little douce coupe"..etc. Seems like an amateur mistake. I think they are charlatans and have made their definitions up. What do you say to that? huh? huh? lol

@LisaBostlund Hi Lisa.. Thanks for the well wish..back at ya'! :) Call it a film? Call it a video? Certainly digital production is a very different process than the older formats. If you listen to the voices and lingo of today's makers it is simply labeled "Content". A term I find significantly under inspiring .. sort of like referring to a nice home cooked meal as "food". I just call it my doc project. In the end I will likely use source material from several formats ( as I look for historical information for my story some of it is video, some film, some is newspaper publication that I will Rotoscope) but the final product will most definitely be delivered as a digital package. I think referring to the genre of the work, rather than the format, more accurately reflects what the maker of the content is up against to see the story on a screen. Making documentaries is different than being an Ad maker or a YouTuber or a feature "film"maker.. yes to the best of my knowledge big feature films are still primarily shot on ...FILM (gasp). In the end.. as long as I can show it and as long as people can see it..you can call it.. well.. FOOD! :)

Hmmm..I don't think so.. as an example that fits your "trades" analogy.. I, like many, have a number of skills as a home renovator. I am not , by any stretch, a master plumber but can competently install fixtures and supply water and drainage to them. I have similar abilities in framing,roofing,concrete work..etc. Not mastery but far from superficial. @Bornfree Deep down.. that’s just about everyone. Lol If anything has become apparent to me in the last 20 - 30 years it’s that there is no “typical” anything. Especially with brain wiring. Just as an example.. Anyone who has been living with addictions of any sort have been dealing with atypical wiring. I was making a little light of my own inability to be as focussed as I could be while working at a schedule of my own making. Always distracted into trying to accomplish 6 things at the same time. Usually do ok by the end of the day. 😉

Mauricio, my in country fixer/ guide for the doc project, has spent a lot of time in the Amazon over his life. Well versed in flora and fauna..as well as historical and local lore. He mentioned 2 places that I have no idea what a trip to these places entails.. but you can bet there will be more adventure involved. lol Reventador on the road to Lago Agrio and a lagoon called Limonxocha. Both are in the Amazon,I believe. Having someone like Mauricio help with the kind of trip your friend is thinking of would be a valuable asset. Hey Rob.. I have no contact with birders in particular. All my people are marine inclined. I would think your friend would be more interested in the variety of species found in the jungle cover. I'll ask someone if they have a recommendation on a particular region. Michelle, a biologist and my main insider so to speak, does work in the Amazon region of the country but with reptiles and river dolphins. I'll get her opinion as well.

@MattHardy I only mentioned Einstein because you did in your post... but my point is all interstellar "stuff" is really quite beyond the laypersons ability to "do the math" or even have the ability to be involved at any level with the science of it all.. Therefore I take it on "faith" that the pics I see from satellites and telescopes are real.. not a conjuring.. like.. the Horse Head nebula, as an example, I believe it really exists and resembles a horses head. I can't see it with my own eyes anymore than I see miracles attributed to divinity. They only difference is I am willing to suspend my skepticism regarding science..whereas I will not afford the same willingness to religion. Proof or no proof.. Einstein or no Einstein.. it is my personal choice to believe one over the other.

It’s taken much longer than I had planned but.. I’ve pretty much finished the editing suite/ YouTube studio in my basement. As I don’t plan to be in this house too much longer it is designed to be easily dismantled.. I figure in about 3 hours. Setting it up should take less than a day....

Had a classmate in high school that was seriously impaired.. literally over night. Affected his motor control and speech. Before the "party" he was a decent pitcher.. afterwards could barely throw a ball in a straight line. Took a number of years for things to right themselves. Was it the acid? I'm not a doctor but it certainly appeared like a case of cause and effect. That said.. I dropped Sid a few times.. no irreparable damage near as I can tell. lol

@Marcie1974 Yes.I understand what you are looking for... but remember.. in your premise we are talking about the "nice guys" that are so hard for the non-top 10% of beautiful women to find. Players are a dime a dozen on dating sites.. male and female. I feel that both men and women who are passed that magical age of "prime" physical condition.. have, out of necessity and bad relationship history, created standards and criteria lists that shrinks our potential dating pool to what can fill an eyedropper. Then some of us wonder where the perfect "one" is. We connect with potential partners who check many boxes on our list but then out slips something like.. "Then he said he believed in ghosts.".. and it becomes yet another deal breaker. Good people are out there.. they just don't meet all of our requirements and therefore not worth taking the chance on. We don't have the time or patience anymore.

This is what I plan to do on my daughter's land, once I retire.

@Marcie1974 I think men initially put up with crappy personality traits if they are having regular sexual contact. After the "fun" has worn off they put up with those traits for a number of other reasons. But both sexes have proven their ability to be as shallow in their pursuit of an attractive mate. Hetero or not. Make it clear you are sexually available..you'll have guys at your door..guaranteed. It may not be to your particular operational tastes..but that is the reality.

@FlippantLlama @BudFrank I felt the same way last year before I went to Ecuador. I hadn't backpacked since my early 30's and I don't know Spanish. Then at 58, without a travelling mate and still a unilingual anglophone I was more than a little sweaty in the palms. But.. courage to the sticking post, as they say. It was sometimes awkward, sometimes uncomfortable..but at all times worth it!! Go for it!!!!!!! :)

Besides the guy probably has half a dozen eager young apprentices ready to sacrifice their weekends on such a project. I used to be amazed at how Peter Paul Rubens managed to produce over 500 massively large canvasses in,his lifetime (not even considering his hundreds of smaller sized works ).. until I found out he ran a school. Rubens would sketch the canvas in charcoal outline.. the students would fill in color to a point..he would apply finishing touches and a signature.
