Maybe recognizing things about me and my life that need attention and self care might be a more positive way to approach my seeming life issues.. As to finding a partner that is in some way as "broken" as yourself (or myself) again feels inherently the wrong way to approach a new relationship.I get that birds of a feather flock together. but .. the blind leading the blind isn't a highly recommended strategy for promoting progress in.. anything. I guess it depends on how each person is struggling.. is it physical. emotional. mental? I've always found it helpful when my partner has strengths that compliment my weaknesses and vice versa.

I have never read the book so I can't attest to it being great literature. I was the foreman on a 6 week murder trial 4 or 5 years ago. A sordid and sad tale. He was convicted and received a life sentence. It felt very bizarre to read his conviction out loud in a courtroom full of spectators. I personally have never been to court beyond contesting a traffic ticket that I felt was unfair.. I lost but I know I was in the right. It was overly frustrating.
