At a much later time I am at an apartment complex working on my car. As I lay under the car I think I hear someone calling my name. People who heard me talk of this later said it might be god. OK. I agree with Jolanta on this one. As I understand our current taxation in the USA the idea was to keep your wealth without everyone else suddenly becoming rich. This would help the rich to get richer because the money had to come from somewhere and someone had to be exploited. How much money would Jesus be worth in today's dollars? I have no clue. Honestly, I give up.

Regardless of what others say, science appears to operate on a desire or need to know something while religion operates strictly on dogma. This makes it hard for me to put them together in any form. We do know that in the past Islam was very much into science but that appears to have changed today. As this all unfolded over time I do not see anyone viewing it the way we view atheism today. One big reason for this would be the absence of social media. Back then social media was present only in books that one might read.

Until someone gets serious about it this will not stop. Trump supporters have made this "wedge issue" into a party issue with the usual name calling effects. It is actually more serious than you think. On the saving end of this we are still being lied to. The parts of the wall being built is a 175 mile area that was agreed on by everyone back in the Clinton era. It was just that nobody got around to building it. Now they can divert funds for it and it suddenly becomes the "Trump Wall." :)
