I can get over for the life of me how Trump still has so many supporters that can see through this ...
DenoPenno comments on Jun 26, 2019:
I see it here also. It appears to me that so many take Fox News, Hannity, and the rest as something real. They hate CNN and not so long ago CNN had James Earl Jones claiming they were the most trusted name in news. Then along came Trump and told us it was all false. News is only real if it says something good about Trump. Remember that this is not my opinion. It is Trump's opinion.

‪WHY IS NOBODY PISSED THAT TRUMP TOLD US HIS DISCUSSION WITH PUTIN IS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS.
DenoPenno comments on Jun 26, 2019:
Trump gets away with this because McConnell will not take anything against Trump seriously and the Dems are bluffed into believing impeachment might actually help Trump be re-elected. If the Senate with not act just what is the House supposed to do? The fact that nobody does anything makes this administration as close to a Fascist regime as you can possibly get. The amount of Trump coddling and lying is sickening. Nothing like this has ever happened in America before so why are we allowing it now?

Is the universe infinite?
DenoPenno comments on Jun 26, 2019:
The universe could be infinite. If it is, it will be very much like the god of the believers. They claim their god always existed, so why not the universe? In recent times believers want to protect their god by claiming he exists in another dimension. Who would ever have guessed and how would we ever know for sure?

According to The Atlantic, there's but a few of us.
DenoPenno comments on Jun 26, 2019:
Some of this may be true. Wasn't there a famous non-believer who recently got baptized "just in case?" I'm trying to figure out how you would "go back" when you find that Jesus appears to be a conglomerate of several people and his big book of "how it all happened" seems to have been put together some 300 plus years after the times of Jesus. This is exactly why that book makes no sense and is contradictory. If a person knows this how can they believe the gospels were written by followers when the gospels themselves are so flawed? How does one know these things and pray and blubber "oh, Jebus, I am so sorry?" Why would you be sorry for finding the truth? On the other hand, you could come to a truth that Saul of Tarsus is credited with writing two thirds of the NT and he never knew or met Jesus. Christianity follows him and this man never knew if he was "in or out of his body" when he got his revelations.
Dementia risk tied to these commonly prescribed drugs in a new study - CNN
DenoPenno comments on Jun 25, 2019:
It all comes and goes as to what is healthy. Personally I take the older meds and refuse to help them get more money by having a new med for something. Example is that I only take one BP med and I get it totally free on my plan. I do this by splitting the pill for my dosage. I know others who allow the doctor to put them on 2 types of BP meds to "get the job done." This type of confusion makes more money for the drug company. You have to ask yourself if it is about your health - or not?

DenoPenno comments on Jun 25, 2019:
Sorry you had to go through this. A "commercial for Jesus" is a good way of phrasing it. A friend of mine died a few years ago and we had a wake planned for him at the Community Center. He was no longer religious but had some friends who were. His wife had already passed on. This was supposed to be about a remembrance of his life. Before it was over I thought it was a revival meeting. You also have to watch JW's for this at their funerals. They mostly have a closed casket and then the service turns into something you need to start doing in order to make sure you have "hope" and death is not your final destiny. It seems that everybody alive is so damned afraid.

Our concentration camp at the border is a horror. I'm not sure what can be done. Trump blames the Dems because they did not give him all the money he wanted. McConnell will not allow the Senate to take any action if the proposed solution appears to go against Trump. Men with power and no empathy have created this terrible situation.

DenoPenno comments on Jun 24, 2019:
I think one of the biggest problems in both parties is that they make outlandish idiotic claims and do very little because they are so terribly afraid they could lose out on selling us something. I'm talking goods and services here. Our politics are totally man made and it has more to it than just letting the Koch brothers get richer.

Intuition: this is a subject that has been studied aggressively for the past few years.
DenoPenno comments on Jun 24, 2019:
Intuition is very real and often you can use it to great advantage. It is a gut feeling and you learn some things but it is not real. Imagine your mom looking into your eyes to see if you are lying. She just knew you were and you got caught often because of this. At the end of the day intuition is sort of as reliable as hearing your phone ring and thinking "this has happened before." Of course, that is deja vue. :)
Russia & partners to counter new US sanctions on Iran
DenoPenno comments on Jun 24, 2019:
Do we need sanctions on Iran? People complain about the money we gave them but forget that we were giving back their money that we had confiscated. Recently we had a confrontation in the Gulf of Hormuz involving 2 Japanese ships and the US was quick to blame Iran, and it was Iran that rescued some of the sailors. The ships owners did not even agree with Iran being the attackers and it might have been more likely to have been an attack by Godzilla for all we know. Now Iran shoots down our drone and claims we were in their air space. The US denies it. Oil seems to be what this is all about and the US is an oil company with an army. Gas prices were supposed to go up at the pump but in my area they are going down. Putin told the US to leave Iran alone. Strange that just this morning I heard we gave Iran a bad cyber virus. Two days ago I heard the same thing about Russia. My question is did we give each of these countries a virus, or did we not give any of them a virus? Trump always said that what is in the news is NOT what is really going on and I thought he simply wanted everyone to believe only him. I do not believe Trump but at this moment I am not sure just what is going on.

Keep in mind this new law is for **schoolteachers, police officers, judges and other public employees**. Certain members of the general public can still wear what they want to.
What do you think about Deism?
DenoPenno comments on Jun 23, 2019:
Deism is what we had without science. This is because science was in its infancy and did not explain anything. People all want to explain things and Deism claims an unknowable god being or supreme being set things in motion and disappeared. You can never know anything about this being and it did not intend for you to know. Many of our Founding Fathers were Deists. Franklin often spoke of "divine providence" but there was no being to pray to, grant wishes, or change anything in your life. Seems to me on the question of how we all got here an answer that simply said "we do not know" would have been good enough.

Conservative talk radio disagrees but it is no more than an American concentration camp. AOC caught hell for saying that, but it is true. It is all inhumane and cruel. Trump and his supporters need to wake up and realize something in this self created border crisis. What is likely to happen first. Will Central America and others run out of people wanting to cross our border, or will the USA run out of money to continue this nonsense? Trump supporters justify this treatment by saying that if they did not cross our borders this would not be happening. The blind are leading the blind here and some think they should all be shot. Where in the world today does this happen? I once went to Kenya without a visa. I guess that meant I should be shot. Dump Trump and take back America. This is not the direction we want to go.

DenoPenno comments on Jun 22, 2019:
Things are termed miraculous because others term them so. In your case did the EOD officer hold any position of authority that would have to do with odds? Things happen and not always as a logical mind would seem to want them to happen. This would be so in your auto accident. I also had an auto accident at a high rate of speed where I hit a mailbox and it broke my windshield, hitting the car roof right before my face. Many said that it was the grace of god that kept that mailbox from coming on through and knocking my head off. My simple answer is that** this was the way it happened**. It has nothing to do with gods or meaning in the universe. I will add however that if you are looking for gods, meaning in the universe, or anything deemed supernatural that you will find it.

I am wondering to what extent people decide to be atheist/agnostic or just grow out of religion
DenoPenno comments on Jun 20, 2019:
If you simply "decide" to be an atheist you can also "decide" to go back the theism. I knew of such a person once in another forum. She always thought the idea of a god was so grand, and she really wished it had been true. One day she announced she could no longer be a member in good conscience because she had married a religious man and was a believer again. OMG, how would you deal with thoughts inside that head? I can imagine her praying for the "faith" that it might take to believe and praying along with words like "help my unbelief." This would be shere torture. In my case logic and evidence played a big part of becoming atheist. Too much bible study cover to cover and being honest with myself about the invisible man, his kingdom, and his plan. None of it holds water.

DenoPenno comments on Jun 17, 2019:
Do not let my current position fool you. I have had ghostly experiences and supernatural experiences in my lifetime. Most of us have. It's just that today I know where most of them came from and how the mind is manipulated toward these events. It is all similar to our minds wanting to see patterns and how you saw that cloud that looked just like Jesus. The difference is that it goes a bit deeper than this, but it is all in your mind. Did it happen? Yes, but your interpretation of the event is flawed. This is the very reason that drugs and fasting are used for some religious experiences. You see what you are conditioned to see even if you do not understand all conditions of the event.
How did you come to be atheist, agnostic, etc.?
DenoPenno comments on Jun 17, 2019:
Time went by and then one day I woke up. I was tired of beating myself up for always "missing the mark" as Paul claimed we do. I came to realize that god was punishing mankind for something they did not do, and that incest was not a good plan for mankind to get here. God then found a way out for us when he used Jesus who also did not do anything. Scriptures and the perfect plan then became nonsense. I had no ideas of "putting my sins off onto a goat" and driving it into the wilderness. I was not going to paint my doorstep with lamb's blood. I simply quit and I was so glad to do so.
New report finds many non-believers still believe in the supernatural - Big Think
DenoPenno comments on Jun 17, 2019:
Of course non-believers still believe in the supernatural. People think "well, it could be." The problem here is that it was all supernatural when you were into religion. Your god was supernatural and he did supernatural things. Today as a non-believer think back into some happenings around you that you thought were supernatural at the time when you were a believer. I remember them well but the difference today is that I can explain most of them. When you are a believer you want to believe. This is why you do believe. As an atheist i reject all things supernatural. I need evidence.

Deconversion
DenoPenno comments on Jun 16, 2019:
My biggest help in the way out of Christianity was to discover that the bible as we know it today came into being some 300 or more years after the time of Jesus. It was decided then to put the 66 books together into one big book. Many other books were done away with or discredited. The appearance is to show a beginning and and ending of everything but this is not real. Putting all the books together is also why you find discrepancies in the bible. It's simply like getting a lot of people to write a story. You also have to understand that Saul of Tarsus (as St. Paul) is credited with writing two thirds of the NT and he did not know Jesus and never met him. Paul also could not tell if he was in or out of his body when he received all of his revelations. Right there is enough for any sane person to simply forget god ideas as far as I'm concerned. This is when I got away from others that babble and wave their arms around even if they do tend to make you tingle. Would you believe that 9 people were raised from the dead in the OT and that one such man came alive again after touching Elisha's bones? We need to find those bones and let hospitals use them today to cure others. Angels have wings and in the Koran the prophet flew to heaven on a winged horse. So many people see their way out of this sort of nonsense but still pick and chose what they believe. This is why we have so many religions. There is no proof that any scriptures worldwide are written by gods and no proof of any gods trying to be in touch with you. Die-hard believers still tell you that our Founding Fathers believed but they fail to see that most of them were Deists. Without science as we know it today an unknown god as a first cause set everything in motion and then disappeared. Deists also believe there is no way to know this god or have a personal relationship with it.
Perhaps the banning of Huawei and its 5G telephonics would be acceptable if it was to occur to stop ...

In the beginning people will cheer the 5G technology. The problem is that it can also be used for people control if needed.

What is happening in America to stop Female Genital Mutilation these days?
DenoPenno comments on Jun 15, 2019:
If female genital mutilation was practiced on young boys it would be like cutting their nuts off and sewing up the sack, or totally removing it also. Maybe then the elders would tell them not to cry and it was not that bad. It's just that they cannot get women pregnant any longer. Switch this back to women and you get a horrible procedure that simply says they cannot enjoy intercourse. The procedure cuts out the clitoris totally and often the labia lips. It allows women to be sewn up tighter than before if needed, and all for the pleasure of the men. Women would be like cattle and have no reason to even look for sex. They are simply for child bearing and a man's pleasure. I personally believe that this practice is a crime that should carry at least a 20 year prison sentence. Anyone connected with it should receive swift justice!
WHO NEEDS GOD?
DenoPenno comments on Jun 15, 2019:
I believe that we are all broken. I say this because we are not perfect and what we do could have had a slightly different outcome most of the time. If your life had more misses than hits you might turn to gods for guidance. An alternative to this would be that you were raised in a religious system. Brainwashed early on because your family was religious. Even so, my all-time bothersome statement from religious people is "then who do you worship?" Why do we think we have to worship anything?
Overtime with Bill Maher.

Andrew Yang will not be elected but the man makes perfect sense. What he says is a little ahead of most of us because we do not understand the mass majority of job loss that is coming.
Watched Avenger Endgame twice.
DenoPenno comments on Jun 15, 2019:
I'm out of context here with my reply but I mean to see this film soon. Glanced at it this morning some in Fluxus playlist, Hollywood Movies 10. I want to see it from the beginning. You can watch this with VLC. I also have a Russian player that is based on VLC but has other refineries in it. When I first got into IPTV the streams would hang, stutter, and stop. Watching was impossible. The cure was to go into my router and select a DNS that is different than my ISP DNS. What does this mean? It means that the ISP will block you because what you are doing is a treat to what they want to show you for profit. Now it all works fine.
The Anger of the White Male Lie – Ijeoma Oluo – Medium
DenoPenno comments on Jun 14, 2019:
I do not agree with the angry white male but I think we have a lot of them. Trump got elected and his behavior is allowing many of them to come out of the woodwork. Misguided white people who say outright to anyone who is mixed that they would rather kill you as look at you. People who think their privilege is being taken away and also want to continue the myth of a pure Aryan race. Wake up, fool! We are all mixed.

Do you think having a best friend is important?
DenoPenno comments on Jun 14, 2019:
I agree with you. I do sort of have a best friend but we argue also and he is a believer that I've known for over 50 years. There is no way that I would "tell him everything." I simply do not trust people. Nobody needs to know innermost things about you and if you tell some things you are simply setting yourself up. When it comes to women I don't need to know that you were once owned by Chez and made porn movies. Well, maybe if there is a chance I might watch one and see you. :) I don't need to know of any BF before me coz it does not matter. I once had a GF in Texas who declared that now I had to tell her everyone I had had sex with. I'm sorry. You're wrong! This "best friend" thing gets out of hand. Some people even want to discuss bowel movements. It's not for me.

DenoPenno comments on Jun 14, 2019:
If you come out of Evangelical religious stock your world view is marred by a book of Revelation plot and future play-out senario. It's because the devil wants your soul that you can fit almost anything in there with that view and followers will believe it. There are many current fringe views. Antartica is shaped like a human brain. Apparently this has something to do with the flat earth. Medicines and vaccines are made with aborted fetal parts. When did this start and why was it changed? Chemtrails are a toxin that is released to kill us all. Apparently the rich have enough money and no longer need yours. Current belief patterns are designed to make us all dumb as a rock. Who knows? That may be the plan. The way I see things today we are not far off from a "Road Warrior" world existence. The next 50 years will really be a hoot at the way we are going.
Atheist media?
DenoPenno comments on Jun 14, 2019:
Thankfully You Tube has a good variety of atheist media.
Though Atheism is not a religion, which one of them are more generous? :)
DenoPenno comments on Jun 14, 2019:
Believers seem to be the ones giving money and helping, but they do this knowing that they might be helping themselves when they get to the invisible kingdom in the sky. I know that the Buybull says nothing is gained by simply doing good works but believers do this anyway with hope of a gain. Of course, they do not help you if your religion is a rival religion. I once took a friend to a food pantry that helps the less fortunate and you even had to pray before they give you the food. Mankind needs to get their belief system out of the way when it comes to helping others. One thing that stands out to me is that when I was a security guard I was always tipped by a man who was Muslim. He gave me the camping fee and a little extra, he said because it was my tip. When his group cooked he would also make sure that I got some of the food. On the funny side of all this I saw a homeless man with a sign saying so as I exited the highway going to my work. It was raining like hell that day and this man is around constantly with his sign. No wonder he is homeless, I thought. He doesn't have enough sense to get out of the rain. The next day I saw him at another town exit 12 miles away.
Unfortunately!

Waksom, Texas outlaws abortion in all-male city council vote - The Washington Post
DenoPenno comments on Jun 13, 2019:
After all, if momma would have done that I would not be here. This is why your god is so much against abortion and you have to have control of a woman's body. In the Buybull a child only became a child at birth. There are no "pre-born" rights. In our times now this all gets complicated by lots of misinformation. Many sites claim aborted fetuses are used in medicine making as well as vaccines. A source is given and people tend to believe this. Let me back up. They think people are killing babies to make vaccines and medications. When did this start and why? I was vaccinated in the 50's with no hint of fetus material. Why now? The usual clamor around it is that "they just want to get rid of us." This mentality is heavily fused into a pro-lifer to where they all believe it. This is disgusting because anti-abortionists want it to be disgusting. It is also not true. Am I pro-life? Yes, because the opposite is pro-death. If the latter is true then none of us would be here. Also, your now dead uncle Charlie could have had a son named Bobby if only he had of lived. WTF is this all about? It's time to stop nocturnal emissions and hire the jackoff police.
With Trump, there are no coincidences; its all planned well in advance.

The Iranians did some rescuing in this situation and they are the first to say it all appears strange and mysterious to them. Also the "oil and gas" onboard was methanol and naptha. Beyond this my immediate notice was the news on TV saying already that the price at the pump is going up.
Amen. Did I just say that??

DenoPenno comments on Jun 13, 2019:
This is a very good question. Often the words that others say are in the "gotcha" category. The saying is old but this happened to me just yesterday. A man I work with told me I'm going to hell if I do not change my ways. He thought it was funny. i asked him to please explain to me exactly where that was. After some thought he was not really sure.
