I'm not sure the Founding Fathers thought you had "god given rights" for anything. Most of them were Deists at best and had no mentioning of "gods" in our documents and writings. US news and TV suffers the most because of those who claim "you have to respect his office" even if you do not like him. This turns everyone into a potential Trump supporter on any issue while Trump refuses interviews because he "was disrespected" or any other reason he or Sarah Slanders can think up. Deep within us is a "need to know" and if we find the vehicle that will give us this need, we go with it. This is much like religion.
