My favorite soup is a southern stew, Brunswick stew. The main meat in it used to be squirrel, but these days it's chicken and possibly some pork added in. Vegetables vary but usually must include corn and lima/butter beans to be considered "authentic." It's often served along with pulled pork BBQ.

I totally understood her reasons for her doing so, but it made our last half year together difficult and uncomfortable when she would ask me if we would ever see each other again after her death. And then when she died, there was all the second guessing from her believing friends who thought I failed her spiritually and ushered in years of needless guilt. The group idea would have been helpful back then, but my current S.O. is a fellow atheist met on this site, so I have less of a need for the group now.
