I just have no answers. Again I awoke at 03:00. By 11:00, I will be very tired, and may sleep for an hour. Yes, after a few nights of this, I may pass out from exhaustion and go to sleep--- only to start the cycle all over again.

Well I have been up since 03:00- awake since about 01:30. I'm in a coffee shop having a coffee. So tired -but I can't rest. Lack of sleep is quite a trap.

This makes me think of all the teeth whitening commercials from a couple of years ago.

I am NOT into the drug-bit. PLEASE, do not be offended. I am older than 'gaud', so I must take some- and, yes I did not sleep last night. I quit taking blood pressure pills- and everyday that I do a hard work-out at fitness my blood pressure is one or two points from optimal and I sleep better too. I am taking pills for gout, (haven't had a gout attack in five years) and if I stopped drinking a couple of beers a day, I could probably stop those. My point: let nutritious food and enjoyable living be your "drug". And no, I don't have all the answers

I know what I should do- I just need the will to do it. Along with depression, comes the stress eating. I know also that I should 'enjoy' my meals: some spectacular veggies, that taste wonderful. An "All you can eat", restaurant, to me is such a gross idea; it is a celebration of sloth. Long ago I lost 46 pounds- and have kept it off, but I still want to lose another 20 pounds, which would bring me to a normal, athletic weight. I certainly am not anorexic. I know that fat is the normal in this current, strange world- while constant hunger and starvation are what is inflicted on the rest.

My insomnia seems to come in waves.

I've read your bio. Congrats; way to go. I was born when gaud was a teenager- so I too do not move as fast as I used to do. I quit smoking (get this) about 45 years ago. In the spring of 2017 there was a month-long machine rowing contest, with 24 members, at fitness- I came first with 370 km. It's amazing that some people can't name their most valuable asset. Their car? Their castle? Their large bank account? But then we need to get down to details- there needs to be taxes collected, to pay for social services. THAT, of course, is not what DJT is doing. He is 'cutting' social services and medical. If, for example, he cut taxes for 50 people of the middle class, hypothetically, they would buy 50 pairs of shoes. He gives the rich a huge tax cut (that will increase the national debt); they too buy shoes, 10 pair- for themselves, and pocket the rest. And gotta have a huge military expenditure, "because wars are fun". (Wonder how his "heel spurs" are.)
