I live in rural Florida , a deep republican , alt right area, When I moved into my house I had an older couple come to me, They saw my Obama sign in the yard and told me out here we go by the good book, I said great I like good books. They then lectured me on the bible and I said I have read it cover to cover and put it up there with Homer and the Iliad, Not knowing anything about Homer I was then able to point to a belief is great powers and such, They then stated that it is ONLY the bible that is considered the good book, I smiled and said yes it is a good book but also fiction. We now only say Hello as I am the satan of the neighborhood.

When OUR president ridicules and mocks the left wing, the poor, the disadvantaged, it is time for us to awaken NOT pledge loyalty because he holds the oval office. This is democracy and with that we seek a leader of all people not just the rude and uneducated.
This president is NOT our president, he may be that of those who support authoritarianism but not the rest of us. I want the US to remain a democracy, which trump wants overturned.

I told them about satan and then ran out of time. Yes String and Membrane theory remain unproven yet intriguing to the highest level. String would mend the bridge between Einstein's general relativity and quantum physics. Not that easily done but in a nutshell. I appreciate the view that we should not consider String the magic answer as this is where science needs to take over. If things look like they should exist mathematically, then we must seek, The Higgs boson was merely a theory until we had the technology to locate it if it were there and it was. Trust science, it is correct whether one believes it or not.

I have brother who is a pastor of the Baptist . He believes dinosaurs and humans existed together. You wake up 4 hours later and have no idea of what happened the last four hours Death is totally dependant on the awareness of time.
If one believes in eternity, then one realizes that state has no time. There are no events as there is no time to allow them to happen and be recognized. this is what the energy really is.

Virtual reality soon will produce smell, humidity and fill all the senses. Scientific American had a similar article not long ago. We will be able to implant memory into our brain itself. Think of the forms you see on the back of your eye lid when the light is turned off. You see a reality that the brain agrees is there but it is not outside at all This reality will be able to deliver the entire package of being human ,, including sexual pleasure. I do not fear this at all as it is what we all love, Evolution

I would agree with the concept of everything is result of the previous events and since the Big Bang, Bounce, bubble etc, each event indeed triggered the next adjusting to the new variables existing.
However, we as a homosapien, have a conscious which consist of predetermined events also. But the odd thing I find is that when we talk to our self, we do carry on a conversation, The mind believes it exist in this illusion and it has free will to do what ever it wishes to do But will we get the results expected, maybe not

It is amazing to me that so many deeply rooted jesus believers have allowed jesus to become a vindictive and spiteful god

Yes there are definitely universal truths. Math is it. If we are to discover the singularity of all , we must use the physics provided by nature, god, dog, whatever, But math is the true answer in regard to what shall follow.

Yes, Science is merely the method to study something without bias. IN other words , if one truly wishes to find out the truth, then one must remove preconceived thoughts from the equation.
Now if one ONLY seeks a simple comforting answer, then one reads a scripture of some sort

To connect we only need be our self but that is the real issue. We must know who the self is Notice how we all talk with ourselves and actually hold a conversation inside. These two voices exist and it is knowing the voice that speaks from beyond being merely human. Know the energy of creation itself and you know that all your atoms are 14 billion years old/ We are not a human, only by chemical reaction but not by mind
