The interests we cultivate shape our lives. In my case it's been astronomy and the natural world above us and below - all that we are surrounded by that makes up our reality. Larger questions that cosmology is trying to answer like how did we get here … how did the universe begin … how will it end and what role do we have in it’s expression are important to me. As an earthling, I’m in awe of our world and love learning all I can about it from geology to geography and more. Humans interest me as well. I’m fascinated with the mind; with belief systems; with what it takes to have a meaningful life. Hence I’ve spent years delving into various psychological models and have embraced several that I use in my practice that involves analysis, meditation practice and several other modalities that I believe help nudge a person back into as normal and autonomous life as can be realized and expanded on.
I'm also very much engaged in environmental work and social activism; working on areas regarding climate change, public health, education and immigration. Gardening is a joy as is cultivating my yard for my birds and bees. I love BBQ’s; food and wine – trying out new recipes. My taste in music is eclectic ranging from rock and heavy metal to jazz; medieval, classical and more; I love Daniel Barenboim and saw him at Carnegie Hall in 2016; one of the great highlights of my life. I have a sense of adventure and have done a fair bit of traveling which I hope to continue and which would be so much better even if I had a ‘significant other’ to share it with : )
If you resonate with where I’m at I would love to hear from you!
