I am in chronic pain and take oxycontin. I smoke cannabis when I can, it helps but I have urine test at least twice a month so I have to be super careful. I wish I could just use cannabis, it is illegal here but hopefully soon it won't be, at least medicinally.

Honesty is best, and you can save years sometimes being direct. I am guilty of staying too long in the wrong relationships. Couples waste years trying not to be the metaphorical bad guy. Now that I'm older and have been divorced twice, I will not stay in a relationship if I know it's not going anywhere.

I find myself doing this occasionally, it is usually with someone I have on a pedestal. I'll be over enthusiastic, supportive, just extra in general. If I do get what I want, which is for them to love me, I soon have buyers remorse. I've went through this enough to know that something in me is broken. If I have any advice it is what not to do, or just love yourself enough to not 'wait by the phone'.
