Strange? I say not. I take what I call "sanity breaks" from my group. Speaking as a group host who has been inactive 3 months at a time (and a multiple offender at that - in the past year I may have spent 7 months inactive, though not in a row) I would like to take this opportunity to recommend this to all my fellow group hosts. If the drama gets to be too much, leave for a while. It will be gone when you come back. It may be replaced by new drama but at least it will be fresh. It gives you a good perspective on things. You may find the same people who were blowing up your pms before are the ones causing whatever the current crisis de jour happens to be. More importantly, you may find that you no longer care. In my case, I look back at the hours I wasted over petty internal drama as time lost in real life that I can never regain. Coming back after a long hiatus always cleanses me of the daily grind and gives a needed distance between me and the negative parts of an online community. It also reminds me of the good things on here that I missed while I was gone.
