I'm a fan of Daniel Kahneman, Steven Pinker, Daniel Dennet, Richard Dawkins, Carl Sagan, Robert Cialdini, Stephen Hawkings, etc...
I joined in the hopes of meeting others who are both aware and attempting to improve their ability to identify and account for their own biases, fallacies, and other mental pitfalls when forming opinions. I am very much an amateur in this department and would appreciate the opportunity to debate issues with individuals holding opposing beliefs in order to challenge my own.
Below is a brief description of why I chose to identify with the words in my profile.
Atheist in that I only believe in the natural world and not in supernatural or divine entities.
Agnostic only because I consider beliefs simply the absence of doubt and nothing more. (Just because I don't doubt it doesn't mean I can't be wrong.)
Skeptical not only of religion but many "beliefs" because I'm becoming more and more aware of how incredibly difficult it is for humans to overcome unconscious biases and other mental pitfalls.
