I don't understand why a "replacement" is needed or even wanted. More "pluto-like" dwarf planets have been found. The forbes article seems to me to be a 'mashup' of multiple recent astronomy articles (do a search for Primordial black holes). Also, should there actually be this speculated distant **black hole**, why bother to try to refer to it as a 'planet' ?

I like to think it is altruism, but I'm not persuaded that true altruism exists. I get the impression others are not either. For example (anectdote-warning), I donate platelets/plasma every 28 days (no, I'm not mentsruating). :) When others notice this (e.g. I'm wearing a brightly-colored stretch-wrap), they often refer to "getting paid" for it. It does not seem to occurr to them that I have been donating for 40+ years and never wanted a penny. I have lots of time, I'm sure I don't volunteer enough.
