I've been an atheist / freethinker my whole life! As I like to point out, we are ALL BORN atheists! Since I'm also humanistic and a freethinker, I often use the term AFAH (which covers all of those plus agnostic), but not so much to self-describe but rather in writing for economy of speech.
Even more importantly, I hope someday that "AFAH", or similar initialism / acronym, can help non-religion-subscribers attain status, equality and power on par with what LGBTQ people have. Just think what the initialism "LGBTQ" has done, both for the subgroups represented by it, and as a "unifier". It furthers social identity and political recognition, it's affirmative and unifying.
I'm an electrical engineer, currently out of that professionally, instead private tutoring and investing (the latter rental properties I own).
My interests are diverse (not in particular order): Sciences which include electronics, programming, chemistry, physics, astrophysics, psychology, sexuality, feminism, church and state, bicycling, soccer (...will probably add more later!).
