I am so sorry about your change of life situation. I know that it hurts. And it does take time to get your bearings, but it happens and you stand in your truth again. Your person has not changed, you are as good, as smart and as hopeful a person that you were before...only now the ‘innards’ of your whole life has been given a good hard shake-up! Just take some time and allow things to settle in, this is the hard part because you may feel you need to do something. Take care of your health, smile a lot (don’t want your lips to loose their elasticity), speak to everyone, they may need it more than you! And, start to visualize what you want the rest of your life to look like! Show your children how much you love them and reassure them, that there was nothing they could have done to stop the divorce and they are still loved, the same as always (this one I stress, from my own experience with my children) There is a grieving process here to remember...this is a loss! Be patient, with self and others, it will pay off in the long haul. My best to you...
