And it caused me to return to my early adult years, not because of anything to do with the Holocaust, but because of the shame that I felt surrounding my Heathen and mentally challenged relatives. I shut them out of my mind and had no interest in knowing who/where/why they came from. I always tried to do everything that I could, before I opted for meds. And usually I tried a med for a month and if it didn’t work I went on to something else. Recently, I remembered that one of the times that I was depressed and in chronic pain, and after an MRI, my neurosurgeon told me that he could not find anything that surgery could help with. So he sent me to get PT and that particular therapist knew her craft and after I made decent progress, I was sent to the fitness ctr to work on the weight machines. After about 6-8 months, I noticed that there was a shift in my brain operations. It was a clear and obvious shift! I believe it came from working all the muscles in my body. So now, I make sure I get a decent workout on my own, since I no longer go to a fitness ctr. And I am on no meds and I have not had depression for over 2years!

I've been reading about psilocybin occasionally for many years, because I've been on antidepressants...
