I was born in Salt Lake City. My father was a jack Mormon, but my mother was a Congregationalist. I was never very impressed with religion and, when I started studying philosophy, I found out why. I attended Westminster college and the University of Utah and studied psychology, sociology, anthropology and philosophy. I joined the navy at 27 and spent twenty years working as a power tech. In the process I finished 2 degrees in math and philosophy. I retired in 2008 and became a secondary math teacher.
I moved to TX from California to be with my daughter. My wife, unstable at best, died in 2014. I am a single dad of a beautiful blond 11 year old girl. She is my main focus.
