Keep it simple and honest - just say you’re not feeling enough of a connection to continue seeing him, wish him well and move on. I had a woman email essentially that message within 30 minutes of what had been a fairly pleasant first date (I thought). Rejection isn’t fun, but it’s probably easier before there’s much emotional involvement.

I stopped using fluoride toothpaste a few years after learning that my thyroid wasn’t functioning properly. Amazing that we put something labeled as poison in our mouths. The fluoride put in public drinking water is untreated waste product from the fertilizer industry that would have to be dealt with in ways less beneficial to the corporate bottom line.

My mother says my father’s greatest expression of love was “well, I bought you snow tires” I love you was something I didn’t hear much growing up - I don’t use it very often either - particularly in the early part of a relationship. I am a bit freer in using it with my daughter.

We need to get money out of politics. Corporate media comments on the “political race.” It’s not a race, it’s not a fricking sports contest, it’s not a popularity contest. It shouldn’t be a revenue stream for corporate media. It should a venue where candidates can share their policy views and we decide. It shouldn’t take 24 months of campaigning and fundraising. Ban all political contributions, limit campaigns to 2 weeks before primaries (all states hold primaries the same day for federal elections- with voting machines using open source software, and auditable paper ballots). News papers can run position papers and public tv/radio can carry debates focused on policy.

A great book, is Cradle to Cradle - by William Mcdounagh. His motto is: waste =food. The book itself is printed on plastic, which can be recycled as another book - the ink itself can be washed off and reused as ink for another book. Materials shouldn’t be downgraded in the recycling process. He envisions bio- degradable bottled that have a seed in them - littering should be a good thing that enriches the soil - farmers should beg for people’s trash. His ideas have been used in several factories, where toxic chemicals have been eliminated and water exits the plant cleaner than it came in. The key is planning at the beginning of the process to be efficient with our resources, with a mind as to how they will be dealt with after their useful life.
