@HumanistJohn I did the Loop Trail - I started at the upper parking lot. Hiked up to the top then followed the loop down & around to the lower parking lot. Once there I headed around the other part of the loop past the Hutchinson Homestead and not too far past that is where #5 was taken.

It really is a unique area. Hiking up to the stone, taking a break and enjoying the views. Then the hike down around through the forest and back up again. The water was cool & refreshing. The little stream was too shallow for much but the area right under the waterfall was quite deep.

it took me about 3.5 hours to do the 4.5 mile loop and yeah, it was kinda was uphill both ways 😁😁 from the 'upper' parking lot where I thought I was being smart parking at - you had to go up (not horrible) to the stone areas, then it was down through the forest (way down), around & along the river, slightly up to the base of the 'upper' waterfall which I believe I read 200'. Then you get to climb a zillion steps to the top of the falls. Trust me this old girl is still feeling it....

@MissKathleen sounds good.
Gosh, isn't it wonderful when the flowers 💐 look good enough to eat.
HumanistJohn comments on May 25, 2020:
I especially love the colors in #4 and #5. The subtle color gradients in #4 are very pleasing. Amd I really like the shades of red and green in #6. The reds in the buds adds to the effect.

That's wonderful. I wanted to replace my grass with clover, but now that I am selling my place... maybe next one.

I used to have an ornamental plum and really liked it. However, a landscaping friend said it had to go. It was apparently planted by birds and was next to my carport and a paved alley. I was tole the roots will crack all the surrounding concrete. Luckily it looks as if you have just ground so no ...

yes, my tree is about 40 or 50 feet from any concrete. They say the clover will eventually block out the other grasses, I am hoping that is true.

Such vibrant colors on the rose! Is the clover difficult to maintain?
Heidi68 replies on May 24, 2020:
not so far. I am hoping it eventually takes over the whole yard. The biggest problem is the bees do like it and one of my Yorkies stepped on one.....

Heidi68 replies on May 22, 2020:
Personally I like these better than the original post. I am looking at them on my phone but the push of color in the 1st ones blurred everything a bit and made the photos look a bit more like paintings. These look real, and crisp. Also, I am not a fan of the one with the fence, everything is leaning which makes me keep tilting my head, &/or phone to make it correct....

@MarkWD yep, not gonna watch that! The picture of the video is more than enough. I was bitten by a Black Widow as a kid - there was a few hours they didn't think I was going to make it. Boy, that was one miserable night/24 hours. I remember it like it was yesterday.

@MissKathleen I had a wild one grow in/with my blackberry bush last summer but it seemed the flower was quite a bit smaller.

@MissKathleen how big was the flower? It looks large in the photo but the ones here are kinda small. Was just wondering of there is a difference.
