My observation. Online dating is difficult because you don't know each other. You keep belittling the woman in this situation (and while I agree, since it was next to her work she could have checked but) - you continue to talk about your character. She doesn't know your true character because internet chatting is not the same as old school introductions. A little give & take is definitely needed to begin with. Confirmation about date & time is not being their parent or anything remotely similar, it is comsiderate between two people who, in reality, do not know each other. Dating is still a grey area where old conventions get in the way of changing times. I am not suggesting you change your true convictions (like I would insist on talking politics -and religion - before ever meeting....) but maybe within the planning of the 'date' you could suggest a follow up conversation the day before the date to confirm everything is still good? Just a suggestion. Otherwise, good on you for at least putting yourself out there and trying. Hopefully you will soon find what you are looking for.

I am not sure about the whole chemistry thing - mental, physical or none at all.... none at all [which is what it sounds like from your post] I wouldn't waste my time. But if we got along but no physical chemistry I would let him know we can still hang out but that is all. Now if there is physical chemistry and nothing else well, that may be fun for a bit.

This seems so appropriate for the "chat" I just left, & too often for the site in general.

I voted for 5 not necessarily because I believe ALL medical professionals have contributed to the problem but we know several things - some doctors just over prescribe, unnecessarily prescribe because they get kickbacks and just short step diagnosis because they don't have the time to follow patient care. Also, there was recently a report that stated the manufacturer actually made the dosage higher because they knew how addictive it was. For both of those reasons, both need to be held accountable. Finally, we need a serious overhaul of the whole medical / pharmaceutical industry.

Not sure about doing away with the electoral college - as someone else stated the wisdom of our founding fathers has served us well. With that said - maybe the states should follow the lead of --- "Nebraska and Maine, do not follow the winner-takes-all rule. In those states, there could be a split of Electoral votes among candidates through the state's system for proportional allocation of votes."
