LINKLetters From An American 06/30/2022
Heather Cox Richardson Today at noon, Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in as the first Black female justice on the Supreme Court. Before Justice Brown took her oath, the court also signaled the end of the federal government as we know it. In the past, the Supreme Court has operated on the basis of “stare decisis,” which literally means “to stand by things decided.” The purpose of that principle is to make changes incrementally so the law stays consistent and evenly applied, ...

Coverture: The Word You Probably Don't Know But Should 9/24/2021 Old but very relevant today. By Catherine Allgor My mother-in-law loves this story. A few years ago, my husband, Andrew, and I went to apply for a mortgage. LINKYLE Predicting the Fall and Boosters
Katelyn Jetelina We’ve been using the same vaccine formula throughout the pandemic—one created in early 2020 to fight against the original Wuhan variant. But the virus continues to mutate quickly. This means our antibodies are waning fast and (re)infections are coming more often. Marry this with the fact that coronaviruses thrive in the winter, and we likely need an updated strategy going into the fall. So what’s our next move? A hard problem to solve One way to get ahead of the ...

BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -A girl in Brookings was going about her day when she found a tracking device under the hood of her car. January 13, 2021 My newest and smallest grandchild. She arrived 5 weeks early and is now 2.5 weeks old and is less than 7 pounds. I've never held such a small baby before. She is quite perfect and very amazing. I love being a Grammy.
