During this past winter I went to a restaurant for breakfast. It was seat yourself, I took an empty table where I thought I'd be warm enough with the door opening. One of the waitresses took my order and brought my drink, then another waitress "suggested" I move to a smaller table as they had a bigger party come in. Problem was the new table was out of the line of sight and cold. After waiting for my food for a long time, my waitress finally saw me and said she thought I had left and canceled my order. I was hugely torked and walked out.

I used POF and OKCupid, got tired of the freakshows, and scammers I was meeting. There are a few people who have found someone on this site. I have made a good friend. And then there are just good supportive peeps on this site. I have not encountered any scammers yet. As for freakshows, we all have our definition of that. But I came for the dating site, and I'm staying for the community. Lots of awesome people here.

On dating profiles I always notice when a woman says "I'm 5'5" and a HALF.

I see that frequently from both genders. Part of the disability claim forms include height and weight. People get really hung up on that, but it is a measure of health. But seriously, who gives a darn about .5 inch. Turns out lots of folks. I see the figures not only from the claimant/patient but also from the doctor, and sometimes the difference is really large. Wishful thinking, or denial.

My dad put up a fence around the farthest part of the back yard. Across the alley was a parking garage for an apartment building. They would frequently back into the yard when coming out of the garage. He dug holes 3 feet deep, filled them with concrete and put the metal post in the concrete and let it harden. I was 10 or so. Those posts are still standing. And yes, many of the apartment occupants bitched about denting their bumpers backing into the fence. But they didn't drive into the garden.

We normally vary between up and down. Understand that for every high is a low, so I hope for homeostasis, or right in the middle. I don't usually move as quickly day to day, usually it is several days down, followed by several days rising to really good, followed by a descent. I just hope the lows don't go as low as before.

Contact your insurance company, tell them you want an appeal. You also want the name of everyone who has handled your claim. That is a ridiculous reason to deny PT. Sometimes, when you appeal and ask for the name of all the claims handlers it scares them into reversing themselves. They are supposed to have MDs looking over denials. Have an email address that you use only for connections. I have always used a separate email for dating sites and for people I'm not sure about. Make it simple and non gender specific. My current email for this sort of thing is my initials and year of birth. Easy to remember. With my luck I'd meet someone who doesn't use email.... There are a few out there.
