My baby loves to carry my pens off, batteries (still don't know where she got that, I live alone.) She carries marbles, small empty spools (thread spools, I sew, and I gave her the empty ones). Then she drops them on the laminate floors and chases them around, they make an interesting noise. One or both of the freaks are busy cleaning off table tops and book case shelves. I can't find my lip balm tonight because NOTHING is on the table top. I need to stop working so I can monitor these hell cats better.

I had a job once that I traveled some, and I would eat alone then. I would carry a book. Now I rarely travel, and I don't usually go to restaurants for meals as I'm too cheap. But sometimes I do. I try to take a book, newspaper, or my phone. I very rarely eat in my car, and at home it is not unusual for me to eat on the sofa with my laptop on my lap.... like right now.

I will be adventurous, I love trying new foods and new restaurants. If it is ethnic food that I am not familiar with I will ask the waitstaff for recommendations. I am not into hot spiced foods, but less spicy is OK. If it is a homestyle or American restaurant I will go with what I wouldn't usually cook for myself. If I have time before I get there I will check out the menu online (if I can) to get an idea of what I want to order.

One of my kids had speech therapy in elementary school. Once her teeth got straightened out her pronunciation improved. (She had extensive orthodontia during childhood.) As for an adult with a speech impediment. I am far more interested in who you are and how you treat others (and me) than how well you talk. Mel Tillis had a horrible stutter, but he could sing. Now if you spray when you talk, that might be different. If it bothers you why don't you check into a diction coach or with a speech therapist again, especially if you think it is holding you back.

When I split with my ex and had to fund moves on my own, and realized I had stacks and stacks of books I was never going to read again, I started offloading all those books. It takes longer for women to get pain meds, and then we get less. Our concerns are not taken seriously. I remember a friend told her pediatrician her son had projectile vomiting. His reaction was "yeah, sure mom." Mom was an RN. The kicker was as she was leaving the baby's vomit hit the doc square in the chest from 5 feet away. Then the doctor ordered tests. And yes, meds are not tested on women, frequently it is guesswork on the part of doctors. But if you got a limp dick you can get meds. I know, crazy, sexist, parternalistic.

Are you on Facebook? There is a crap ton of it out there. I've managed to block the worst of it. I'm into natural healing. I will try natural before drugs and I've done well so far. I research first though and I do have some common sense. Drinking turpentine, I don't think so. I use lavender oil to help me sleep, and oil of cloves did take away the pain from a tooth until I could get to the dentist for a root canal. I did go the dentist and I do take presecription meds for HTN. However, I know many ailments can be managed without prescriptions and prescription antianxiety drugs made me more forgetful and likely to take more risks. And NO! on the coffee enema, I can just see all sorts of problems with that. Lots of this comes from the antivaxer crazies, and hollywood pretty people with way too much time on their hands and way too much money.

I see Atheism as lack of religious faith. I have faith in science, that the sun will come up in the morning. I have faith that my kids will always be there for me, and I for them. Folding a fitted sheet into a nice, neat square. I don't understand why so many people have difficulties with it. I don't do it often, I'm most likely to wash and put them back on. Plaids that match. Put me near someone wearing a poorly assembled plaid garment and it is like fingernails on a chalk board. Following patterns in fabrics and objects. Which is part of the reason I quilt and sew.

I hate texting, impossible to read emotion or body language, then there is that tiny freaking keyboard and my need for correct grammar. I spent a month texting with a guy that our most in depth conversation was how are you doing today. Then he had an emergency and wanted money. Blocked him so fast. I'm not fond of the phone either, I'm on the phone at work too much. From a dating site since I am only looking for local guys we're going to meet in person fairly quickly or I'm going to lose interest. I replaced the lower rack in my dishwasher and was quite pleased with myself. I do minor repairs and simple stuff like putting up shelves. I paint where I don't need a real tall ladder. I have a split entry foyer and cathedral ceilings. I have a son in law that works in construction. He painted the rooms that I couldn't handle, and did some other work for me. Car stuff, nope I'm hopeless there.
