@ElusiveMoby This is the coaching I give young women I work with. I realize you're not that young as compared to me, but own your space, own your ideas, stand your ground. If you want a good laugh (or cry as the case may be), read "How To Be Successful Without Hurting Men's Feelings", by Sarah Cooper. She has written another book in that vein as well. It is very sarcastic, but it will make you laugh. And for workplace issues please read the blog AskAManager.org. Alison Greene has been in HR forever, she started this blog 10ish years ago. She answers workplace related questions and has marvelous advice for office culture, office politics, lunch thieves, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, job searching, and job surviving. I read it daily, and miss it on Sunday when she doesn't post new things. Readers also comment on the postings, and sometimes have really great insights or ideas. She also posts pictures of her cats, she must have a bunch of them.

@darthfaja I don't think it is "uptight" per se. There are just some experiences that come with age, and frames of reference as well that enrich relationships. Also, I'm looking at retiring in less than 10 years and want to enjoy my retirement. If I'm with someone 15+ years younger and still working that could become an issue. I'm not saying it wouldn't or couldn't work, and I'm not saying I wouldn't be open minded, but my experience has been I haven't found a younger man that I felt I clicked with. My kids don't know about all the men I have dated.... and they won't meet whomever I may date until I'm sure it is going to be something I need to tell them.

I hope you're sitting down when you read this. Per Wikipedia and a few other sites: Mucophagy is a common behavior in children and some adults. However, this action is frowned upon and stigmatized in most cultures and societies which try to prevent development of the habit and attempt to break it if already established. However, there seems to be great health benefits to eating your own mucus. Scientists at a number of universities including Harvard and the University of Saskatchewan say parents should not discourage their children from picking their noses because they contain 'a rich reservoir of good bacteria.' HippieChick58 replies on Feb 19, 2019:
@confidentrealm When I was making bread I had a few recipes that called for VWG. Vital Wheat Gluten is the natural protein found in wheat. A small amount added to yeast bread recipes improves the texture and elasticity of the dough. Many people are not familiar with it, it was just a fluke that I had decided to hunt it down and use it. Then I got rid of the bread machine and forgot about the VWG until I cleaned out the pantry a few months ago. Being the frugal type I wondered what the heck I could do with it, and a google search led me to Seitan. It was a win/win situation.

It is a Chimera. According to Geekologie.com, a chimera cat is one individual organism, but genetically its own fraternal twin. The chimera is formed from the merging of two nonidentical twins, therefore they can be male, female, or hermaphroditic. Basically what that means is it was two embryos that merged together, making the cat look like it's two different patterns. Sometimes the difference is not as obvious as the face fur, it could be4 a hitchhiker's thumb and one straight thumb, eyes of slightly different colors, or completely undetectable.

But I am happy because I'm on this side of the grave today and I have other stuff to look forward to.
