@orange_girl Hydrogen Peroxide will make dogs barf, which is a great way to clear out their digestive tracts of stuff they shouldn't have eaten. My dog ate some stuff with staples in it, so I put peanut butter on a piece of bread and put some hydrogen peroxide on it. He gulped it down in a quarter of a second and I sent him out in the yard. About 45 seconds later he was barfing up his toenails.

@Freedompath My stepmother was jealous, abusive, vindictive, petty, and mean, but as far as I know she was never criminal. Although today she'd likely have been arrested for child abuse, she did physically attack my younger sisters. My dad passed in 2007 or so, and after their house was cleaned out and the step was settled in a senior living facility I never had much more to do with her. My sister and I discuss her from time to time, and how she affected our lives. But we've learned, we've healed, and we've moved on. She is now just a bad memory.

I started hearing about KP when I was very young, relatives who had to use KP usually did not have good experiences. I had KP briefly (maybe in Washington State so prior to 1999) and was not impressed. Recently I worked in disability claims, and KP was hard to get medical records from. You had to do it their way, they had no flexibility and an enormous number of hurdles. Patients could not ask for their own records to be sent, it had to come from an insurance provider, and then it was expensive and slow. KP is essentially a monopoly in many areas, and they act like it.

So, my oldest is married to a catholic though she doesn't go to church except to have the baby baptized. The middle will only go to church if a niece or nephew is there, and the youngest plays in the band at her dad's church. I see my kids at least every other week, and we do family holidays/birthdays. My kids also grew up nomadic, their dad was active duty Army, and then we moved a few additional times, so we learned to rely on each other for the most part.

6 Only the last line matters. The two previous lines are meaningless as they are not connected to the actual equation. You solve the multiplication first, then it becomes 3+3.
HippieChick58 replies on Nov 12, 2018:
@KenChang I agree, the first two lines are just essentially decoration or decoys. perform multiplication first: 3 X 0 = 0, then add the remaining 3s, so I get 6 as well.

HippieChick58 comments on Nov 10, 2018:
Playing Cricket? I have never even watched cricket. As little as I know of playing cricket, my guess is you're tired and achy because it is unaccustomed exercise.
HippieChick58 replies on Nov 12, 2018:
@pmar044 Everything I know about Cricket came from the movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. However, since I have been off work (about 2 months) I have also lost some weight and strengthened my knees. Too many years of being heavy and three falls on ice last winter played hell with them. Your plan to lose weight and strengthen is sound. I am amazed at how much better my knees and back are! I even ran in the gym this morning. I haven't run for 30 years. Granted I only ran a few steps, but all things considered it is a huge deal for me.

@Anonbene One of my previous jobs had "lulls" and I'd keep busy creatively. One night I used Google Maps to look at all (and I do mean all) my previous addresses. I feel sorry for those whose glory days were so far in the past. The Army was not my glory days, they were a means to an end. I was not a good fit for the Army and happy to leave it. I'd love to go back to Germany and Japan one day, and a few hundred other places. I regard my time in the Army as part of what made me who I am today. That and my kids can say "my momma wore combat boots!"

It is sad that even my kids have made reference to their dad being a dick. I don't avoid men named Richard, but.... just don't have good history.
